    DAY 01 : Negombo

    A representative from KAD Tours will welcome you at the airport. Based on your time of arrival we would be able to do a city tour of Negombo to start our day off. This tour includes visiting fish markets, fishing villages, Dutch canal, Dutch fort and famous Roman Catholic churches. Afterwards we would spend our time where what Negombo is best known for, its beautiful beaches. In this famous coast line, you have the opportunity to experience the most exquisite cuisine and satisfy your sea food cravings from a range of restaurants.

    DAY 02 : Kandy

    After refreshing ourselves with an early morning breakfast we begin our journey to Sri Lanka’s hill country, Kandy. Known for its sacred tooth relic temple where they securely store the tooth relic of Lord Buddha which houses it under a pure golden casket. Back in the day it was believed as whoever held the tooth had the right to claim himself as the king of Sri Lanka. Therefore this tooth is of great value to the heritage of this country and its history.

    Optional visit to Pinnawala elephant orphanage where we can see elephants having a bath in the river.

    On our journey towards Kandy we will be visiting a spice and herbal garden where you can educate yourself in Sri Lankan medicine and herbs. After reaching Kandy explore the impressive city tour with some factory visits and in the evening you will have the opportunity to visit a performance by the acrobatic Kandy dancers.

    DAY 03 : Nuwara Eliya

    -Optional visit to the botanical gardens of Peradeniya in the morning.


    While having our morning breakfast we will indulge ourselves in thoughts of Nuwara Eliya’s cold and misty environment where you will encounter the plantations and factories where the world famous Ceylon tea is processed. Some of this tea is still processed using machinery built by the British Empire during their stay in Sri Lanka and witnessing this can be pleasant. On our journey to Nuwara Eliya we ascend through tea plantations, curvy roads, and misty mountain sides and come across various waterfalls. Nuwara Eliya which is also called as little England due to its diverse landscape and climate. Spending our night in a rather different atmosphere where it’s cold and misty, giving a sense of European feel rather than the usual Sri Lankan warm climate.

    DAY 04 : Ella

    Nuwara Eliya - Ella In the morning you take a train trip from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, approximately 3 hours. During the ride, enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka while passing through the middle of the tea plantations and vegetable gardens. 

    Visit Little Adam's Peak and Nine arch bridge in Ella; it offers splendid views and a not-too-hard trek.

    DAY 05 : Udawalawa

    Leave after breakfast to Udawalawa stopping en route to see the Rawana Ella waterfall which is closely linked to the Indian epic Ramayana. Also stop at Buduruwagala to see the famous rock sculptures.

    In the afternoon visit the elephant transit home is an admirable initiative which was founded by the born free trust in UK. Here, baby elephants who are orphaned or injured in the wild are brought in to receive care and rehabilitation. Once the elephants are healthy and old enough, they are radio collared and released into the park where their progress is tracked. The first elephants to be rehabilitated at the ETH have already started reproducing successfully in the wild... a truly sustainable initiative.

    We will be taking the evening safari of Udawalawa national park possibly the best park in the island for elephants.

    DAY 06 : Galle

    After breakfast we will proceed to Matara and Galle, Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Walk along the quaint cobblestoned streets and along the impressive ramparts which once fortified this city.

    Visiting a Marine Turtle hatchery - a valuable conservation project that protects the endangered Marine Turtles of Sri Lanka. Globally, all seven species of marine turtles existing are endangered. Out of these seven, five species of sea turtles come ashore to nest in Sri Lanka. The process of marine turtles nesting, hatchlings being born, and swimming back to sea is an ancient and phenomenal ritual that is fascinating to observe.

    DAY 07 : Departure

    You will be transferred to the airport in Colombo according to your flight departure time.
